Mārau-ā-kura — our curriculum

A broad, balanced curriculum delivered through the language pathway your whānau chooses — Rūmaki or Auraki.

Mārau-ā-kura

How learning works at our kura

Our curriculum follows Aotearoa New Zealand's national framework, delivered through the language pathway your whānau chooses — Rūmaki or Auraki.

Literacy and numeracy sit at the centre of every morning. Afternoons open out into inquiry, te reo Māori, the arts, hauora and place-based learning on our whenua.

Assessment is continuous and human: teachers notice, respond and talk with whānau often, so support arrives early and stretch arrives on time.

  • Strong literacy and numeracy foundations
  • Te reo Māori and tikanga in daily practice
  • Inquiry and place-based learning
  • Regular progress kōrero with whānau
